Will Uber refund me if driver cancels?
Uber says it is possible to dispute a cancellation charge and get a refund instead of credit you just have to request it the right way. If your driver cancels and you’re charged, when you click into the trip in the app the top option should be ‘Problem with my cancellation fee’.
Can Uber driver cancel your ride?
As is always the case, riders and drivers can cancel a trip for any reason. Please note that failure to comply with Uber’s policies (including Community Guidelines) may result in a driver cancelling and a rider being charged a cancellation fee.
Why do I get charged when Uber cancels?
When you request a trip with a debit card, credit card, or PayPal, we make an authorization hold, which will be the same amount as the upfront price of your trip. This is just an authorization and not a real charge.
